Data Strategy For Babble
Challenge
Babble is an acquisitional cloud telco that purchases up to 12 businesses per year. Their model is to earn a multiplier from moving the businesses from old, on-premise, technology to scalable cloud solutions, on monthly recurring revenue. Many of the businesses that Babble buy have minimal electronic records defining the products and services the customers have bought and the data is generally of very poor quality.
Over time the overall data quality became worse and the inefficiencies were absorbed by the operational teams downstream. It became vital to create a workable data strategy.
Solution
Traverse created a wide-ranging data strategy which defines:
Data architecture and common data objects
Data flows
Data integration
Governance
Results
Traverse created a very detailed data strategy, roadmap and implementation plan which also considered supplier invoice matching in detail. These detailed plans mapped out how the data could be cleaned, structured and automated to reduce cost and operational burden.
